##Bonus Section: First Person StoryI don't remember the first time I was called Matematica, but I do know it means "Math Rocker" in Spanish. Nobody ever called me Matematica outside of my family, so I thought it was just an inside joke. It wasn't until I got to high school that people started calling me Matematica again and asking if my friends were also Matematicas. I was surprised, but I didn't think it was a big deal. I thought there were other people in my school who did similar things to me.Matematica is the only person I know who obsesses over prime numbers. Not just prime numbers, but also Fibonacci numbers and Lucas Numbers. Some people call me a geek for liking these things, but I honestly don't see what's so bad about them. After all, math is just an aspect of science and knowing these things can definitely help you in school and add to the usefulness of your brain! My friends tell me that they're just not creative enough to come up with their own creative equations like I do, but that's fine with me. I just do what I like to do.I'm not the only one who thinks this way. A lot of people come up to me and tell me that they love prime numbers, too. I think it's great, because the world needs more people who are interested in math and love it at the same time! From what I see, there aren't enough of us out there, but that doesn't stop me from doing what makes me happy. If you're reading this article right now, that tells you that you're interested in math because, well...you're reading an article about math! So here's my message to you:Our society is not always open-minded about people expressing their creativity. If they don't think of it as "creative" or "different", they'll often refer to it as "nerdy". Some people will look at you like you're strange because you like prime numbers, even though there's nothing wrong with that. We need more people like you out there! I'm not saying that everyone should be like me, but if even one more person likes math and shows interest in working on creative ideas, this world will be a lot better off!If I had to pick one school subject to teach to the world, it would be math. Math is everywhere; it shapes our lives and governs what we do. It's so important that we should know how to count and how to do math in our heads. If we can't, we can't function in the real world. People who don't know math well will be lost and not able to get a job or do something important, like buy a house! Who needs math well enough to buy a house? Everyone needs it! So if you're reading this article, you may need it too.
